Dicky Johal

"Hi, my name is Dicky Johal and I was born in 1982. Designing is my passion and I love designing in any form. I come from the beautiful and romantic hills of Rudurapur. The region has a huge influence of Victorian architecture and I always find inspiration in those wonderful works of art. I also learned a lot from my aunt, who is an interior designer. As a child I use to watch her work.

"Wood is widely used in all home décors, be it interior or exterior, so basically I work with different types of wood coordinated with iron. The fact that I can beautify people's homes gives me a feeling of satisfaction. Besides, most of my family is involved in decoration, so the encouragement I receive inspires me to experiment.

"So far, my designs have been exhibited throughout India, but this is just the beginning. I have many dreams to realize and many more goals to achieve. The best part so far though is working with Novica. It helps you become recognized as an artist. I feel that, by being introduced to Novica, I am introduced to a new world of art lovers. As I go ahead in life, eventually I would one day love to launch my own label."
