"My father, who is now a retired government officer, is a good man who really loves his family. He instilled in us a sense of discipline and responsibility in every single action we ever undertook. Encouraged by my father, I continued my education to a University of Art in Yogyakarta (ISI) focusing on metal art. I chose metal as a way of expressing my creative talents because it is durable and has a unique elegance that comes through in every in innovative design.

"When I graduated, I was faced with the challenge of turning my talent and hobby into something functional that could be appreciated and enjoyed by many. After experimenting with several media, I began to design products combining metals and natural materials such as teakwood and bamboo in a style that is both modern and classic.

"By mid 2003 I was finally able to set up my own workshop, thanks to my family's support and encouragement."
